The number of responses is recorded for every question in a survey. Some respondents might not complete all the questions in a survey so the count of responses is specific to the question selected in the drop-down and is shown in the blue box at the top of the Dashboard.
The total can change based on the following options you choose:
- The question selected in the drop-down
- The reporting date range
- Any pass-through filter values you choose
- If you are viewing the Responses tab, any response filters you choose will also change the total response count and if you are viewing the Topic Explorer tab then any filters you choose also change the total response count. Changing the tab will change the total count relative to the tab you are viewing.
